Lactation Consultation
Initial phone consultation (up to 15 minutes)
During this phone call, I will gather information about you and your baby and we will schedule our In-Home Consultation

In-Home Consultation
Evening and weekend appointments are always available and can usually be scheduled for the same day or next day
Convienient, compassionate care in the comfort of your home. I will travel to your home and provide professional breastfeeding help for you and your baby. This visit is on "baby time" and will usually last 1-2 hours. During this visit I will take a thorough history, weigh your baby and do a complete evaluation of your breastfeeding relationship. You will receive one-on-one, personalized care and a comprehensive plan for resolving any issues you are having. I will also provide a report for your health care provider upon request. Many breastfeeding problems can be resolved with one in-home consultation. This consultation includes two hours of follow-up phone calls and seven days of follow-up email/ texts after your appointment.
To prepare for your appointment, please have ready any breastfeeding supports you are currently using (pillows, etc.) or anything you would like help with, such as a breast pump or baby sling. If you have kept a feeding/ diaper diary, please have that available as well. Also, print and fill out the forms using the "Forms" link if you can.

Follow up visits/ Weight check
If your case requires a follow-up appointment or weight check, the fee is $65*. Follow-up visits are usually shorter in length and will include a weight check and report for your health care provider upon request. During this visit, we will evaluate how your care plan is working and address any lingering problems or issues. I will continue follow-up care with you as long as you desire.
Gift Certificate
If you are looking to give the gift of breastfeeding support to a loved one, I offer a pre-paid gift certificate. This gift will include one In-Home Consultation at the recipient's home after the birth of her baby, on the date of her choosing. I can send a printed certificate to the mother or you, and/or send an email to her or you... your choice!
Breastfeeding Classes
Private Breastfeeding Class
Prepare for the birth of your baby with a comprehensive class.
~Fee: $120, up to 2 couples may participate. Share with a friend and save!
Breastfeeding Basics Class
This class will cover the basics of breastfeeding, how to get breastfeeding off to a good start, returning to work or school, common problems you may encounter and nutrition for the breastfeeding mother. We will also cover normal newborn behavior and what to expect in the early days after birth. Fathers, partners, grandparents and other support people are welcome!
Second Time Around Class
If your first breastfeeding experience didn't go as well as you had hoped, this class is perfect for helping you figure out what went wrong, and how to get things right the next time. The first half of this class will cover the basics of breastfeeding. The second half will be tailored to your individual questions and concerns. We will discuss the problems you encountered with your previous breastfeeding experience(s) and offer information and support to help your “second time around” be successful.
Other classes can be tailored to your needs upon request.
*IBCLC services are covered by some health insurance providers. Please check with your provider to see if you are covered. I do not bill insurance and payment is expected at time of service. I accept cash, checks, credit cards (can be swiped at conclusion of your appointment) or payment via Paypal. You will be provided with a billing statement/ superbill to submit to your insurance company along with instructions to help you get reimbursement. An IBCLC is a health care professional who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding. An IBCLC is the only health care professional who is board certified in lactation management. IBCLCs are certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, Inc. As an IBCLC, I am not licensed to prescribe or diagnose a medical condition. I work in a partnership with your health care provider and will refer you to a medical doctor if necessary.
